Nicole is Here is a platform dedicated to intersectional feminism, Black liberation, anti-racism, and shining a light on the realities of womanhood and femininity in contemporary society.

Launched in 2020, Nicole is Here explores the complexities of race and gender in America, dismantles common tropes and narratives about women of color, and unapologetically celebrates the beauty and sensuality of Black femmes.

Creator and native Houstonian Nicole B. is a writer, editor, cat mom, news junkie, live music addict, and communications professional. Inspired by her affinity for addressing social issues and examining the influence of pop culture, she is a fierce advocate for uplifting historically marginalized communities everywhere.

 

In her free time, she enjoys concerts (notably Beyoncé and Evanescence), rooting for her hometown teams (Go 'Stros), keeping up with political news, and spending time with her longtime cat son, Halo.
